I had my surgery 10/28/05. I have to wait a little bit longer for my new sleep study. I do think for some people the surgery does have advantages even if it's not a complete cure. My ability to breath is so much better. I am really able to notice the difference. I haven't been using my c-pap. I don't seem to have the symptoms, but I know the chances of being cured completely are small. So, in general my quality of life is better. I have been able to lose weight much easier. My regular doctor seems to think that my metabolism has been boosted by more oxygen. I do still have some eating issues with carbonated, spicy or sweet, but I believe the surgery was the right decision. I'll post again after my new sleep study. Merry Christmas to all!
