SeattleBill has pretty much described my recovery from 7/15. Retrograde regurgitation of liquids up my nose persisted a bit longer than I expected. I do notice that Cajun spices are still a bit of a problem. Though, it is getting better. Although I was warned that the pain can be awful, I really think it wasn't that bad. The meds helped a great deal and I was diligent about following the schedule. Creamed spinach, macaroni and cheese, lemon ice and scrambled eggs were my foods of choice. After a week, I think I actually had a bit of steak. The most important thing is patience. Things do get better over time.
