What's best surgery "combo"?

Posted by Thunder Bay on December 26, 2005 at 09:29:16:

After reading a lot of comments about all the surgeries, it is evident that MMA has the highest success rate, but it seems that some of the others, which have low rates of success when done alone, have higher rates when done in combination

I am at least a year away from being able to get an MMA. I cos I saw a maxillo-facial guy and a dentist he works with and they both said i would need to wear braces first, and I probably cant afford that, or even if I can, I would have to wear em for a year to 18 months

And I am not even sure if my insurance will pay for an MMA, and i certainly cannot afford $30,000 out of my pocket as I am not able to work full time

So I am thinking of pursusing a combination of the others. So what combination seems to have the highest rate of success? UP3 with somno of tongue? Or Up3 along with GA/Hyoid? Or some other combination of procedures?

Has anyone had success with a combination of procedures?

(Note -- I do have a slightly recessive lower jaw, and do have a lot of excess tissue in my upper palette. I dont think my tongue is overly large)

thanks
