As seattlebill said - you need to find out what you sleep disorder truly is. The Stanford folks have seen it all and will be able to let you know what you are dealing with.
It is truly hard to deal with sleep apnea or any other sleep disorder without the support and understanding of family and friends. The fact is, sleep disorders (and obstructive sleep apnea in particular) are NOT voodoo, pseudo-science or psychologically based. You should get your husband and family to read some of the selected articles and information on this site and others. Sleep apnea can literally kill you or devastate your health. It's not something to be ignored or discounted by ANYONE.
Depression is extremely common with sleep disorders. No surprise - we suffer from sleep deprivation, one of the most effective techniques known for breaking down someone's mind.
Do not keep going the ENT route. They will only recommend what they know. You need to consult with doctors who are trained in sleep disorders. If there are none where you live, book a flight to sunny California.
Good luck!
