MMA 12/27 Portland - update

Posted by PortlandBill on December 29, 2005 at 14:44:25:

Still alive :-)

I was to have a UPPP revision followed by an MMA all in one trip to the OR. The UPPP revision was due to the way mine healed poorly 12 years ago.

So revision was the first thing they did. Then as they were preparing to do the MMA, my throat became so swollen that they could not get an airway inserted. At that point they abandoned the surgery until the UPPP revision heals. There was great concern that they would lose me on the table with the amount of swelling that happened. I was in the hospital over night and am home now. I was all pumped up for the MMA and now wonder if I can get back to that state again.
