Thanks so much for getting back to me Mike - I really appreciate it. I saw an orthodontic surgeon yesterday who said that I I would have to wear braces for about 6 months before they could operate and then another 6 months after the op. He also said that they usually just did the bottom jaw not the top and bottom.

I'm in a quandry what to do as they seem to be forcing me down the CPAP route. I have tried it and hate it. The surgeons in teh UK are not very experienced with sleep apnea surgery. I suspose I could come to stanford just to get an opinion and then think about it.
