I think you may have taken a few comments too critically. The slight flaring of the nose happens to a few people but won't necessarily happen to you. Voice your concerns to the surgeon. TMJ as a result of the surgery is not likely. The "joint" is not moved. Again, voice your copncerns to the surgeon. If you haven't passed anything by the insurance company yet, don't jump to the conclusion they are automatically going to deny coverage. Mine did but after a letter explaining the medical necessity as the best treatment for the underlying cause of OSA, they handled it. My surgeon even waived the out of pocket for my part in working the insurance issue. Again, see the experts before you start back pedaling on the possibilities of better health.
