I had the same x-rays and work up you did (at the surgeons direction). A week or so ago, I spoke with my dentist, who is a close personal friend and the person who feels strongly that I need this surgery. He is convinced the appliance would be a waste of money. He said my issues aren't just the air way and the surgery is needed to correct all of the problems I am having. So he called the surgeon and arranged a meeting with the three of us. It is later this week, so I'll have to see what comes of that.
