sceduled for surgery and worried

I'm awaiting a surgical date sometime in 9/00 and I'm terrified of the surgical recovery. I am undergoing tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy along with UPPP or LAUP and the correction of a deviated septum (septoplasty) all in one operation. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect as far as recovery. I would rather have true testimony over blind faith. Any reply would be greatly appreciated.
