You are correct about your description of the tongue suspension procedure. It is my understanding that the tension is set so that there is no pressure on the tongue during wake time. Since the string does not stretch, it keeps the tongue from falling into the airway during sleep.
You said that at one time you had a trache. That implys you don't have it anymore. So does that mean it really is reverseable as I have been told?
Why did you abandon it? Your post is the first instance I have seen that a trache did not help. It has always been represented to me to be an absolute cure.
It was not me who reported the the extensive efforts to find a viable trache. I think that was Michael a little further down in this forum.
