yes my ent is the only one for over 100 miles of where i live that treats osa. i have a shiley cuff size 6. i am lightheaded anytime i try to move my body.i am fine at night while i am bipap to trach. i have the cuff up then and down in the day. i have been reading some on this forum of other people leaving the trach open all the time. but that was really stressed to me everyday in the hospital and on the day i went home. another thing i will have to try and return to work soon, and i just really don't know how i can. if i do leave my trach open i know i will have to finger occlude to speak, will i be able to talk enough to get me by? do you do that? if you do what kind of reaction do you get from people about it? forgive me for all the questions but i got trached so i could live now i'm just trying to figure out how to live with it. it is not how i had expected it to be.
