First of all I noticed someone was looking for Phil's E-mail address. Phil is very ill. Please do not bother him with questions. He spends only a few minutes on the computer when he can. At the moment he does not have the energy to answer you although he would try. He has been a contributer to this forum for a long time. In fact it was Phil and I who started the "Whole in the Throat Gang".

I know prayers for Phil's recovery would be greatly appreciated. Please do not bother him at this point. If there is anything you would like me to pass on to him please E-mail me privately and I will do so.

This is his set up:
"Any vent or bi-pap will work for me as long as it can be set with different ipap and epap settings and has a constant backup rate.

My settings are 12 ipap; 6 epap; backup rate of 8 breaths per minute.

My best trach tube has been and remains a Portex Blue Line. It is custom made for me and is 110mm long.
This tube (and every tube I have ever had made by other companies has had a standard 15mm hub. This setup has always been able to use adapters to connect to the tube."

There also is a message board for Vent users. A number of people on there are Vented 24/7 but some are only at night and some with BiPAP. Might be worth looking into.
