Drink lots and lots of water and juice. Usually the first few swallows in the morning are the most painful, but take sips every few minutes all day long. Anything soft is good, however, some salty things will burn a litte. I like ice cream and if weight is a problem, you can get sugar free, fat free!! And...take your pain medication as prescribed. Alleviating the pain or preventing it from happening will help your body heal much more quickly. Let us know how you do.
