Your experience with cpap sounds like mine, exceptI have only been fighting with it for several months. Turns out, other sleep problems have been discovered which means the cpap would never have worked for me no matter what. And I found none of the surgeries particularly attractive. I have now "graduated" to a bipapS/T. This is the end of the road interms of machine capabilities. And the highest priced of the lot. Too soon to tell how good it will be. But, I've come to believe that if you are not getting relief in a timely fashion from cpap, then you most likely have something else wrong beside osa. Seems prudent to find out before rushing off to surgery. I was minutes away from a trache when I was advised about some central events that were previously undiagnosed. A third titration confirmed that a trache would not help. I found my sleep center through the links at the top here. Click on prof org, then the first on the left, American Academy.... It has listings by state of accredited places.
