This may be a second posting. I'm not sure if my first went through.
I've improved. My Dr. put me on steriods. He truly did a LAUP. He removed the uvula and made a v-cut in the tissue. So now am I not only able to exhale, I'm also able to blow out both sinuses simulataneously now(unlike before surgery). I suspect my case is rare and may explain why cpap didn't work for me. I got lots of air in my stomach, I bet the reverse flap closed allowing that to happen more easily. To make my case even rarer, I'm only 40 and 125 lbs.
On problem remains, I snoring really bad still. This may be due to the swelling, but on each side of the throast where the uvula was there is some tissue. I'm worried these flaps may flap easily, but I suspect it's still really swollen.
I've also had my septum corrected for a big deviation and my turbs reduced 3 times. I was shocked last night I didn't notice any turbs at all. They are usually still there. I'm wondering if the steriods reduced them even more or the blockage removal allows them to drain better resulting in less swelling. I've had chronic sinus infections as well because my nose never drained well before.
