I wrote eyeswideopen about the conversation that I had with my doctor about the cosmetic aspect of this operation. He said that the majority of people look just fine. Some people even looked better. I believe him. He came across as being very sincere, and did not want me to rush into the surgery. For example, as soon as he told me that I would benefit from the surgery and that he was willing to operate, I was extatic. Within 5 seconds, I told him that I wanted to sign up right away. Surprisingly kind of resisted. He told me that he wanted me to talk to my loved ones and give it some serious thought first, and then come back to him after reflection. There was no "marketing" on his part. In Canada, there are a shortage of specialists. This guy is the best in the country, and has a one year waiting list. He will make the same money regardless of whether I am there or another person is there.

I also understand that you are nervous. Me too. But, I am like Jeremy. For me, I am willing to sacrifice looks for the ability to breathe regularly.

Jeremy, I just want to say that I am so glad for you. When you win, I win too.
