I believe any surgeon there is trustworthy...and skilled. However, they may definitely have differing opinions.

I think you'll find this after seeing KL...he has an alternative procedure that takes the place of the UPPP. He'll discuss that with you...

The phased protocol...or addressing every link in the obstructive chain...is still the mainstay of the Stanford thought process. This does seem to have validity...and least conceptually. The UPPP itself...as a stand alone procedure... may contribute...but will likely NOT cure your OSA.

As for altering voice characteristics...there are very few reports about that...although it is a possibility. I think Sleepy has the best insight into that.
