Bill & Sleepy,

Thanks for your thorough input! It's a relief to read what you've wrote...

I wonder if there is any data as far as the UPPP flap vs. UPPP laser or scalpel and the success reversal after 1-2 years. I would think that by suturing the uvulopalatal flap up ( http://sleepapneasurgery.com/uvulopalatal_flap.html ) there might be a better chance of that area retaining the originally intended surgical shape due to the uvula essentially being 'anchored' in to the palate. But that's just a guess. The thought of putting myself on the continual surgical merry-go-round has me squirming inside.

Question:
- I read of someone having success with getting their medical insurance to work with Dr. K.L. but has anyone had any luck with Dr. N.P. or Dr. R.R. (asking since Dr. J.H. works with them)? FYI- I have BlueCross PPO

-Any other suggestions or questions for Doctors are welcome!

Many Thanks,
Chris

Captain Cannuck,
Yes I gave CPAP a good long try, I unfortunately either can't get to sleep with it on, or tear it off while sleeping. I understand that surgeries are usually not a cure and I may have to learn how to get used to a CPAP, but I'm still single and the CPAP is not the most attractive prophylactic unless Hanibal Lector moves you. At least the settings may be lowered after surgery, making it a bit more tolerable.
