I'll tell you something. Every night when I go to sleep, I naturally seem to put my tongue between my teeth. When I wake up in the morning, it is wedged there. I suppose it is an adaptation that my subconscious brain has made. My brain has learned to do this in order to prevent. I am guessing that this device would act on the same principle.
The device looks interesting. It might be worth a try. On the other hand, someone mentioned that the tongue could become stretched. I think that this would be something to look into. The tongue is made of muscle and has a heavy mass. Newton's laws of gravity would apply to it, but the suction could restrain it, resulting in stretching. Why not ask them if they have investigated that concern. Maybe even have a MRI or CT scan before using it, and then compare your tongue with after a few months to see if any stretching is taking place. Is so, you could discontinue. Hopefully, the company has already done that in testing it for FDA approval.
As for stretching, I think that if you usually slept on your side, maybe the force of gravity would be exerted to the same extent.
