Update, Uvula Trim et al

Posted by learian on December 19, 2007 at 21:51:12:

Hi, Everybody,

Just a quick post to update you on my uvula trim, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction. I was released from the hospital this morning; and so far, so good. Dr. KL trimmed my uvula 50% to 60%; and already I don't feel it dropping down on my tongue even with things being a little swollen back there.

Haven't had to take anything for pain because it's so minor. Maybe there's a shiner starting. I sure do have one clogged nose and will see the doctor on Friday for a cleaning. At the risk of stating the obvious, these three procedures are pretty light weight when compared to an MMA. Removing the splint was a load of fun. Dr. KL did it on the count of THREE. I know that I had my eyes wide open and a frozen look on my face. I guess that's also know as "deer in the headlights." However, once it was out, it was out.

Okay, it's back to the land of nod for me.
