I would like to think that it wouldn't be a problem going to California, but I would rather not if at all possible. While Stanford is considered the "Mecca" as you put it, there are plenty of other qualified surgeons available. I'm very curious if anyone has had personal experience with the Mayo Clinic on this. I don't plan on going 'just anywhere' for something like this, but the Mayo Clinic may be a great place for this. That's what I'm trying to find out.
