I just had the MMA procedure done at the Mayo with Dr. V back in early november. He did not perform a GA on me. I was advanced 10mm on top and 12mm on bottom. He also pulled my wisdom teeth, fixed my deviated septum and packed my left sinus..

I was very swollen from the surgery and at 8 weeks post op i'm still swollen in my cheeks and upper jaw area. My bite is exactly as it was before surgery except for adjusting my midline.

I'm only 8 weeks out but it looks like it was a very successful surgery. My rdi was over 100 and i was a very VERY loud snorer. So far it appears that my apnea is totally cured and i haven't snored at all- per my wife.

As far as the mayo goes they took great care of me. I was in the ICU for a day and a half then moved to a normal room. A Big thumbs up to the mayo staff.

any more questions feel free.

Doug
