Well...
If anyone has inordinate and persistent pain, you should go and get checked out for either an infection, or bone movement.
Sinuses are very susceptible to swelling after an MMA. And, if they are swollen so that they can't drain, you can brew an infection up there very easily.
Generalized swelling can affect your airway. The swelling will be everywhere, including in the "soft tissues" inside your mouth and throat (and nose). Also, being fatigued is part of healing. Your body is trying to heal from the original surgery and heal from the recent infection (which may take a week or two).
And, even at day 24, it is still early. So...yes, about 6 weeks out, you will feel better. Maybe not totally refreshed, but wayyy better than you feel today.
Ask your surgeon about CPAP. I'd give the infection and swelling another week or two to clear before jumping on the CPAP machine. It may be that you ultimately will require that...but it is very very early to make that assumption. Don't be desperate, be patient.
When does your new semester start ??
