WOW! No wonder you were feeling so crummy. I thought it might have been within normal range of recovery issues, but clearly it was way beyond that.

I don't think that you did any damage by eating mashed potatoes and oatmeal - after all, they're only a small step away from blenderized food. However, you should tell the doctor that you were eating this - he needs to be aware of everything that might impact things. Let him make the determination.

1. As Seattlebill said - way too early still to tell anything. Some of us noticed some signs of better sleep by this time, but for some of us things actually got a little worse in the sleep department. Six weeks is the point where you can reliably notice SOME improvements. Do NOT expect to feel like you are cured then - that can take many many more months.

2. CPAP won't be damaging per se, but it may disturb your sleep. How is your sleep in the recent few days? Try sleeping without the CPAP to see if there is a difference. If it doesn't get worse, then you don't need it now. The major fatigue is part of the recuperation - and you've had a rougher time of it than many with the severe sinus infection.
