6 Months post op MMA sleep study

Posted by bobmisteer on January 09, 2008 at 14:31:22:

Today i finally got the rusults of my post op sleep study.
AHI 9.9
mild sleep related oxygen desaturation
SaO2 nadir 87% from a sleep baslione 92%
RAI 11.52
average duration of apnea was 0 seconds
average duration of hypopnes was 16 second

I guess my sleep apnea went from severe to mild.
I still feel tired in the morning, but i think its because
i am not sleeping well.

I had no apnea during the sleep study but a few hypopneas.
I can live with AHI of 9.9 so i am not going to pursue any more surgeries well I still have to fix my deviated nose which was caused by MMA.

My doctor told me that I am a mouth breather so fixing the nose probably won't affect the sleep apnea.
