Actually, I think sinuses are the most common thing to be colaterally affected by the MMA procedure. And, in some ways it makes sense that the delicate septal structure can be too. Either by instrumentation during surgery (breathing tube inserted via the nostril, or by scoping) or by displacement during the actual advancement of the maxilla.
I think mine may have been displaced to a minor degree. Although, it wasn't/isn't worth writing home about, nor worthy of any procedure.
Definitely...mouth breathing is a reason to consider having something done about your nose ! Particularly if you weren't a mouth breather prior to this.
