Thanks for the update. I'm really surprised this doesn't happen more often. I guess if the bone doesn't fuse quickly and/or the screw is not real tight to begin with then the fragment rocks back and forth and loosens the screw.

Hopefully the incision will be tiny, but I can't imagine going through it without being knocked out. I think they have to pull your lip down pretty far to get access to the screw. Maybe there is a right-angle tool or something.

Ask them if you can have a handful of xanax :)
