Thanks for the support!

In the week since I posted this, my nose has started clearing up. I only use the decongestants before bedtime now. My nose is still a bit runny, but the blood is pretty much gone.

Pain is manageable during the day with occasional Tylenol. I'm trying to wean myself off the Percocet at night. Unfortunately I think I became accustomed to the Percocet's relaxing effect; now that I'm off it, I have trouble falling asleep. I meet w/ the surgeon again next Wednesday so if it's still a problem I'll ask her about it.

I've found that eating out w/ friends is not as much of a problem as I anticipated. There are usually a few dishes that are soft enough to eat without chewing, or can be mashed up with a fork until soft. Recent meals:

Friendly's
-Broccoli & cheese soup
-Oreo Freeze (minus the oreo crumbs that they usually sprinkle on top)

Ruby Tuesday's
-Broccoli & cheese soup (the broccoli was whole but it was well-cooked so I was easily able to mash it into little bits w/ my fork)
-Mashed potatoes
-Chocolate lava cake w/ ice cream (I mushed it all together w/ my fork)

Cheesecake Factory
-Tropical fruit smoothie
-Potato & cheese soup
-Sweet corn tamales
-Tiramisu (disappointing... I should have gotten cheesecake!)
