I would say the numbness is the major side effect
of this procedure, it is also very hard mentally to go through this procedure, it does take a toll
on you.

I am about 8 month post up and the numbness has not returned. All my teeth, part of my nose and upper lip are still numb.

side effects that others have reported after this surgery include TMJ joint problems, sinus problems, and "not feeling like yourself" for a few months.
This is a big surgery, but if you think that you can go through it is worth it.
