Well, it has been 6 weeks since the UPPP / tonsilectomy procedure and so far it seems to be doing what it is supposed to do. I have been sleeping pretty well through the night and wake up about the same as when I used my CPAP. My wife tells me that I am not snoring anymore which makes me think that the obsrtuction is removed. My doc said 6 weeks was the magic number for results, so I think it did the trick.

I have a slight problem when I swallow that liquid or food can go up my nasal passage, but it is getting better and the doc said that it will go away. Since the flap was shortened and tightened it has to relearn how to seal correctly on swallowing.

I can still feel the Uvula area tightening. I joke that I am having phantom Uvula pain. No actual pain involved, just a tight feeling.

So far, so good.
