Thank you VERY much for the reply. You don't have to worry about me staying in touch, I've been crawling this forum for a little while now and I have it open on my PC all day hoping for replies.

It's funny (or not actually) that you mention you're surprised I was able to find the stamina to write what I did. I actually had meant to explain that I *barely* was able to form enough thought or concentrate long enough to write that. But (here's the almost not funny part) I forgot.

I really am barely functional. And I do realize I need help. Medically of course, but I need support and this is so far the only place I've found to turn. I’m grateful to find people who aren’t champions for CPAP and who realize there are those of us who need significantly more help.

My other MAJOR challenge is finding someone VERY good. I'm in Chicago and have come up blank on searches. There is of course a sleep specialist at the hospital that did my study. However, I believe my case is a tad more severe than they have ever seen. And possibly complex due to many factors...

It's also important to find someone very good due to my dental work. I have a mouth full of porcelain caps. Every tooth was redone a few years ago due to very poor teeth. Obviously this wasn't cheap. I saved and saved, worked tons of hours (computer geek) to cough up the 60K for it.

That said, I can't afford to replace any of them. And that's also a factor (albeit comparitively small factor) in finding a good surgeon who can preserve them as much as possible.

I’m not necessarily married to Chicago. So if I need to go elsewhere I will. Just would rather not if possible. I’d give my left arm to go to the Stanford guys, but I wouldn’t be able to cover whatever BCBS doesn’t pay for. They’re a little more expensive than I might be able to afford (also looking for input there as well).

Anyone from Chicago here by any chance with good experience from certain Dr’s or specialists? Or any other suggestions? Again, I understand the rules. So if you could post the Dr's initials and his location, hospital etc. it would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,

Michael
