Hi all,
Its been 3 months and 1.5 weeks since my MMA surgery in Newubrgh, N.Y. I shudder at the thought of what i went through those 3+ months ago. I have progressed well overall, but hit a snag last week. I was taking a shower mid last week and noticed a bump on my lower jaw (where one of the plates/screws was placed). Anyway, went for a panoramic 360 shot today and the bottom plates need to come out. I've got an infection on my left side that i am taking Augmentin for (875mg BID - heavy dose on the tummy). I read somewhere below someone else went through this.

Whats the recovery time (my surgeon said that its done in the O.R. but a same day procedure). My main concern is this was the same guy who told me i'd be up and running after 2-4 weeks and it ended up being more like 8-10 weeks for the original surgery. What should i expect as far as pain and time off from work (i am a veterinary sales rep and do a lot of technical speaking).
Also, i thought my septum had shifted, i found out it was another bone, starts with a T or sounds like it, and its across from the septum, in the nasal cavity. This is blocking alot of my breathing room in my left nostril. Anyway, what do I do, if after 6 months, if the swelling doesnt subside? I completed my f/u sleep study and all is well. I have no apneas and snore only slightly.
