Again Gremlin my heart goes out to you.
I am real sure Dr LK (whos Ibelieve was Mikeinboston's surgeon at MGH (Harvard)(Boston) it strongbelieve is in network with your BCBS. I believe the in-network Doctors havean easier time getting approved with the written approval because they arecontracted with the insurance company. Your case is so extreme perhaps he will not have students do your surgeryperhaps. I think this is important because I believe Seattle bill does notlike students doing the mma surgery. Also I meet with Dr LW and am considering him. and others..Perhaps I cangive you some pointers on possibly getting him considered in network withyour insurance. But it might take some doing.I think it is called out ofnetwork waver.Try asking for that...say no one else within 100 miles of youcan do this surgery that is in network. By the way Dr P at Atlanta said to me he has never done a redo and did notwant to start now...you will be surprised on who he referred me to. In youplan too...and close to you. Also I would like to talk to you about Dr LW and a lot of other surgeons. I will be in you home town April 16 for a very short time (I live about 1000miles a way and will be flying in and out) and would like to discuss yourand my situation of redo surgery. I have done a ton of research. I think we may have a lot of information to offer each other..That maybecan't be said on sleepnet. Maybe we can meet in a coffee shop or some other public place. Please let me know right away.
