Wished it could be that convenient someday, i.e. a place to quickly find a doc nationwide for these type of procedures. What you may want to do is to find a head and neck surgeon who does surgeries for throat cancer and has alot of expereince dealing with cancer of the larynx, epiglottis, etc. They excise laryngeal tissue which includes the epiglottis. Then hope that they're familiar with this procedure (partial epiglottidectomy)for treating sleep apnea.

One crazy idea that pops up is to check out the URLS I posted of those abstracts at PubMed (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez). Or go to Pubmed and search for "partial epiglottidectomy + sleep apnea". I noticed couple of these abstracts list doctors in the States (I believe NJ), the hospital they're associated with, etc. If you have your own blog I can visit, I can email you thru that, provide the website address of my doc's medical clinic. He's in southern california.
