It's good to hear about the MMA success. I feel the same way. The MMA and related complications may be harsh, but, the alternative is far more miserable. Here's to sleep! BTW, I was told to rinse the chlorhexadine after five minutes due to staining. I had little to no plaque build-up but plenty of staining. I also had no noticeable enamel damage underneath all of that brown stain. In fact, after my dentist cleaned my teeth, they stated that I had done really well in keeping them healthy. I think that it may be easy to blame chlorhexadine when it is a common factor but, as you noticed, it may also just not have been used sufficiently. I'm sorry to hear about the enamel damage. Great to hear about the sleep though!
