This month has been one of qualitative improvement as opposed to quantitative with most of the progress taking place inside my mouth. Sensation continues to return. Numbness in my teeth, gums, and the roof of my mouth continues to subside. The extra wad of soft palate has started to thin. Most of the time I think I need a "face lift" in the back of my throat; however, there are now periods where I'm a no longer so conscious of what I would call the "extra tissue." I'd like to think I'm acclimating slowly to this new mouth and jaw configuration. As sensation returns, I am still having to relearn the eating/chewing process and sometimes the speaking. However, I used to eat and speak were working as one with me. Food still gets away from me too much, and I hear some subtle speech issues when I'm chatting away. For some reason, I am less efficient at clearing out a mouthful of food. I don't remember there being any work attached to this prior to my MMA.

Pretty minor stuff but still worth mentioning as part of this elongated healing. . . I still do love my sleep. Woweeee! Thanks for reading. I think of you so often.
