Dr. Willaim C. Dement wrote a very famous book titled The Promise of Sleep. He published it in 1998, and at the time of publishing long term results were mentioned in it. He was writing about the preliminary studies at Stanford by Drs. Powell, Riley, Li etc. I do not have the book with me right now, but I will paraphrase as I remember what he said. He said something like "well over 1000 people have had MMAs at Stanford University and there have been no ill results to date". Key point - that book was written 10 yrs ago, so the earliest people who received the operation were treated 15 to 20 yrs ago.

I asked the same question that you did a few forums ago. Some people came forward who had had it more than five years ago. All were satisfied.
