Posted by swordz on May 08, 2008 at 09:05:58:Just got back from my maxofacial surgeon, and he wants me to get an MMA. (Please note the lower post "Apnea relapse; Minimum AHI for MMA?" for more information.)
I have an overbite, and my surgeon wants 6-months of pre-op Orthodontics. This will not make my bite perfect, but he notes it as a "tune-up" in order to get the MMA asap. Orthodontics will also be done afterwards to finish bite.
How quickly can a 6-month "tuneup" be done? This subjective, and just matters how one's teeth line up, and also how skilled/the path the dentist takes? I just wonder because I want to have the MMA and live normally!
