The following is a quote from Pinski's blog on 6/8 when he asked his surgeon about ear popping:

"Why are my ears popping so much? Turns out the internal "gauge" that senses altitudes and makes your ears to that, is very close to where I was operated on, so it is very sensitive right now, but will eventually stop. Makes sense!"

I, too, had a "full in the ear" sensation every so often. Yup, you guessed it. It ultimately passed.
