Brother, I had very high blood pressure. In the same order as you had. Mine was about 180 too. They had to put me on special medication too.

I think it is a reaction to the shock that surgery puts on your body. Also, be aware that certain pain killers increase blood pressure.

My very high blood pressure came down in the weeks/months following my surgery.
