Hi Captain, man you made me feel a lot better. My doctor kept
telling me not to check my BP (because it was stressing me out)
but other doctors I saw said I needed to do something about it.
Do you know what they put you on? I read beta blockers can be
dangerous and want to avoid them. I want to avoid any more
medication if I can. i have so many in front of me right now and
I really just want to take none!Breathing deeply a lot seems to help and doing things that are
relaxing. Excercise, eating a lot, drinking a lot of liquids and
trying to be hygenic and healthy. I am avoiding pain meds all i
can. I have morphine but rarely touch it. Not sure what an opiate
does toe heart rate (slow?) but it definitely depresses respitoray.
IN the hospital the more i was given the lower my oxgyen sat
went down breathing room air. Note to self: do not to watch
these monitors to much...I truly underestimated the power and effects of the MMA and
that said major surgery on the body. Particularly going in with a
history of anxiety. My apnea is I believe cured. .Going in I had an
RDI of 33 and AHI of 3 without CPAP (as measured 1.5 years
before it got even way worse) but I guess I was semi UARs/OSA
but it was really knocking me down like severe OSA and thats
what the docs labeled. I was completely debilitated, my quality
of life quickly approaching 0 ( I would visit Disneyland and
always couldnt wait to go bacvk to the hotel and sleep) and now
its like I am a brand new human. Once I deal with the post
surgery anxiety and problem with falling asleep I know I will be
unstoppable in continueing pursuit of my dreams and doing fun
things with friends and family. But when I sleep now, any
position, no airway collapse, no more convulsing, no more
snoring. Its like a new lease on life but I gotta pay the piper to
get the big reward that is waiting it seems. :-)
