I'm wondering if anybody has ever had a decent RDI (mine was about 9.9 at the last test) but a high Pes score? Stanford and Dr. P vets may be the only ones able to answer this since not many people use the Pes b/c it is somewhat intrusive.

I have had an MMA but am wondering if my Pes score might drop. I feel pretty good most of the time, but I'm wondering if some Radiofrequency tissue reduction of the tongue base or turbinates would make me feel even better.

For those who don't know what it is, Pes refers to Pressure--esophogeal. I think it's best described as a measure of how hard you're sucking in air/working to breathe. It is essentially a small tube that they snake up your nose and down into the esophagus. It's not the most pleasant thing in the world, but according to the Mayo Clinic at my visit, it's the gold standard for measuring effort in sleep-disordered breathing--but they don't even use it b/c it's not tolerated well by many people and they think they can get the data from some of the other gear you're hooked up to during PSG.
