I'm on Day 11 post MMA and I've had a big setback, at least as far as I'm concerned. I had to put the cpap on because of apneas that kept waking me up. During the previous two nights, I had been waking up in a heavy sweat, so I was starting to have suspicions at that point. As I got progressively more horizontal while sleeping, it seemed to get worse. Finally, last night I couldn't get any sleep, so I hooked the machine back up again. Has anyone else had this happen? Was it temporary? I am hoping that maybe there is some swelling that is causing some of the issue. I am completely wired shut, so I don't know if that is making it worse, or if it will get worse after I get the wires cut.
Having to put that back on with all these weeks left to heal was not a very happy moment for me, but I figured I'd see if this was somewhat common or not. I know each case is different, but I don't see this as a good sign.
