WAAAAY too early to draw conclusions about the surgery. At 11 days, you're still in the misery zone. Lot's of swelling and lingering effects of meds. Some of the swelling you can't see and our airways are very sensitive to small changes.

I tried CPAP just after surgery too while having trouble sleeping but haven't since - 3 years.
I did have an issue with the CPAP leaking into an
interoral incision and creating a pocket of air between my jaw and skin. It looked like I had a golf ball in my mouth :) So, double check with your Dr. At the very least you will need a pressure adjustment, and even more adjustments as the swelling goes up/down.

Try sleeping in a recliner on your side. That can make a big difference too.

Beyond that, congrats for getting MMA behind you.
