Oh PES is real fun :) It's basically a tiny tube through your nose into your esophagus. It was very uncomfortable and my gag reflex was huge upon insertion. Kinda embarrassing. I did it because I want the Drs to have every bit of info they can get.

I'm not sure the answer to your question, but I had high PES and a large RDI after MMA, but my sleep architecture was improved and I am now functional, even without cpap.
