Thanks for your reply. Yeah, the Pes is a beauty of a
procedure...they actually couldn't get it in the last time b/c i got
a nose bleed. But I am in 100% agreement with you--I want
every piece of info available. My issue was that my RDI was low, even "normal", but my Pes
was about 4-5 times higher than normal. I wonder if that
means I'm still laboring at night even though my
apneas/hypopneas are low enough to put me in the range of
UARS, instead of apnea.I know you're a Stanford "alum" as well and I always found it
curious how their sleep study summaries only gave you one
number for the Pes score--so I don't know if I hit that number
once through the night or if I was consistently high. I'm
surprised they don't graph that as a function of time like they do
with sleep architecture and apneas.I realize I'm being picky and there are lots of others on here who
have much worse RDIs and NEED intervention of some kind.
However, I'm starting medical school in the fall and want to
make sure I am at the really sleeping well so I can bring my A
game, so to speak.Again, thanks for your reply. If anybody else has any input on
the Pes scores, I would love to hear from you.Best,
JV
