thanks for the info Cannuck. I met with the ENT surgeon this morning and advised against the UPPP and any soft tissue surgery. He said that he is very conservative concerning soft tissue surgery and does not recommend it in my case. He said that my case is complex and that a lot of little things add up to cause my apnea obstruction. If I can't tolerate CPAP then he advises an MMA procedure. I was referred to a maxollofacial surgeon. I guess that i'll give the CPAP a little more time and see what happens before I meet the surgeon. I was very happy with my consultation today. The ENT said a lot of the same things concerning UPPP that I read here on the forum. At least the solutions are being narrowed down. The main thing that bothers me about MMA is that I don't have a small chin. I certainly don't want to look ridiculous after any possible surgery.
