I second limiting talking after surgery as MUCH as possible. I
landed back in the hospital for pain managment from trying to
"return to normal" too fast. I used digital text to voice on my laptop
and desktop around everyone for quite a while and it really helped
me. Especially when my desktop was connected to my mixing
monitor speakers and everyone in the house could hear me if I
cranked it!
