Thanks for the reply. Actually, I live in Chicago. Do you happen to have any information on the insurance you're talking about? Might be a good option for me it sounds like.

I'd be going on COBRA too so I could go back to being a consultant (I'm in IT). I did get some legal help and a fairly good letter drafted and sent to BCBS trying to fight. We'll see... but the state insurance sounds interesting.

Unfortunately CPAP provides no relief at all. I will need an initial surgery to try and help that. Tonsils removed, and something to fix my stuffy nose (like that all day/night pretty much).
