Learian,

I understand your concern with what you describe as a slight increase in AHI state. You mentioned that Dr. K.L. had recommended the tinture of time. I do not want to offend you or put stress on you, but I fear that you may be taking an inadvisable risk in opting for the pharnygeal surgery. Learian, I do not want to see anything bad happen to you. I need to tell you that, to my knowledge, the results of these procedures are not so good. By altering the soft palate, many patients have experienced a short term improvement followed by a deterioration. As seattlebill once observed, the area is plasticine-like. Since it is not anchored to any bony structures, it is very maliable. There are also some patients who have even ended up much worse off. An analogy: Suppose that you were at blackjack table. You have a King and a Six. The dealer asks you, "another card madam?"
